Executive Summary
Newcomers to foreign trade, small manufacturers and SOHO often lack market, customer, content and order management teams. AI agent can help organize information, form templates and maintain records, but only if the company establishes a clear data structure and manual review rules.
1. Organize product information first
Companies should organize product names, specifications, materials, uses, certifications, packaging, delivery dates, minimum order quantities, and frequently asked questions. When it comes to quality, certification, delivery and after-sales commitments, manual confirmation is required.
2. Establish market and customer portrait database
The workbench should include target countries, customer types, channel characteristics, purchasing positions and exclusions. AI can assist with search strategies, but it cannot generate customers or contacts out of thin air.
3. Establish clues and evidence fields
Each clue records at least the company name, official website, country, main business, matching reason, contact source, email source, priority and manual review status.
4. Create development letter and follow-up templates
AI can generate a draft development letter based on the customer's public information, but all external emails must be reviewed manually, and false cases and unproven promises are not used.
5. Establish customer and order files
Save background research, communication records, sent content, reply status, next tasks and transaction documents to avoid information loss caused by personnel changes.
6. Expand from the smallest scene
You can start with product information, twenty leads, five key customer back-ups and a follow-up process, and then expand to CRM, knowledge base and automatic reminders.
LW Perspective
The value of the first AI agent workbench is not to automatically obtain orders, but to form clearer information, a more stable process, and a more repeatable customer development method.
